Dead geese found in retention ponds in Pennsylvania's Lehigh Valley; bird flu suspected cause

The department tells 69 News that the dead geese discoveries started Tuesday, but the situation escalated Wednesday, when 12 to 18 more dead geese were found clustered in retention ponds at the cul-de-sac of High Point Boulevard along Schoenersville Road. Dead geese found in Hanover Township retention ponds raises avian flu concerns, police say.
The PA Game Commission says a wildlife health tech from Penn Vet is testing the birds for avian influenza, also known as bird flu.
