The popularity of Janet is graphed here.  Let's take a look at Hugh.

Hugh spent the entire 20th century watching his popularity increasingly fade away.  He dropped off the chart in 2008 only to return the following year but hasn't been able to make much headway.

Egg prices on the rise in South Korea due to bird flu outbreaks

Egg prices have surged recently, industry data showed Thursday, raising concerns over potential supply disruptions linked to the spread of highly pathogenic avian influenza.
The average retail price of a carton of 30 large eggs exceeded 7,000 won ($4.83) last week, according to the data from the Korea Institute for Animal Products Quality Evaluation. Prices had remained in the 6,000-won range since last month before climbing back above the 7,000-won mark.
On Wednesday, the country reported three new cases of highly pathogenic avian influenza, bringing the total number of infections this season to 21.

Bird flu outbreak in Japan results in culling of nearly 1,000,000 egg-laying hens

This is the 10th bird flu case at a poultry farm in Japan this season, bringing the total number of chickens slated for culling to around 3.65 million. The outbreak renews concerns over egg supply stability, following a record 84 cases across 26 prefectures in the 2022–2023 season, during which about 17.71 million birds were culled and egg prices surged sharply.

One of Washington Post reviewers most anticipated holiday movies: Merrily we roll a bomb

Source:  Box Office Mojo
Headline:  Washington Post, 11/19/2025

Perhaps you’ve heard about a movie, still in production, based on the stage musical “Merrily We Roll Along”? Richard Linklater is directing, and the story — which plays out in reverse chronology over the course of 20 years — will be filmed, like Linklater’s groundbreaking “Boyhood,” in real time. This is not that movie. Rather, while you wait for Linklater to finish, sate yourself with a filmed version of the hit New York revival of Stephen Sondheim’s musical about the vicissitudes of life undergone by three friends. After transferring from off-Broadway to Broadway, the production won four Tonys, including one each for Radcliffe and Groff.

The few people who have seen this movie seem to like it.
