According to a press release from DATCP, issued on September 25, the agency is working with United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) animal health officials are working together in a joint incident response. The affected premise has been quarantined to restrict movement of poultry and poultry products. Birds on the property will be depopulated to prevent the spread of the disease. \
DATCP has not provided information concerning what type of poultry was involved or how many birds were in the flock.
