Pennsylvania reports 28th case of bird flu so far in 2026

The U.S. Department of Agriculture confirmed another bird flock in Lancaster County tested positive for avian flu on March 12, affecting nearly 35,000 birds.
So far this year in Pennsylvania, 28 flocks have been affected. 
The Lancaster County Rapid Response Center is still up and running in Manor Township. 
The center is a supply hub where equipment and supplies used in responding to avian flu-infected farms are housed.
