West Virginia reports case of bird flu in backyard chickens

 
No mention of how many birds were infected.  Or how many cases might be going unreported in one of the poorest states in the nation.

According to the West Virginia Department of Agriculture (WVDA), this is only the sixth time bird flu, or Highly Pathogenic Avian Influenza (HPAI) has been detected in a flock of domestic backyard birds in the Mountain State since the global outbreak began in early 2022.
