The presence of highly pathogenic avian influenza (HPAI) was confirmed on October 16 in a commercial meat turkey flock in Otter Tail, Minnesota.
The situation was reported by the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service (APHIS).
The affected flock included 29,700 turkeys, according to APHIS.
This marks the 19th confirmed case of HPAI in Minnesota during 2025, and Otter Tail County’s second. The other Otter tail County case was confirmed on September 30 and involved a commercial breeder operation. [emphasis added]
