Minnesota reports 55,000 cases of avian flu in 3 turkey flocks

Roy Graber reports:

On the first of those two days, 11,400 turkeys in Blue Earth County and 29,000 turkeys in Redwood County were affected. 

On the following day, HPAI was confirmed in a flock of 15,000 turkeys in Stearns County. These three cases follow an earlier HPAI detection in Minnesota, as another Redwood County turkey flock – with this one involving 25,000 turkeys – was affected. 

Minnesota also had two commercial turkey flocks struck by HPAI in January, with one of those in Wadena County and the other in Dakota County.
