Reported in Foxconn will need environmental reviews as DNR labors with smaller workforce.  (Milwaukee Journal Sentinel , 7/28/2017)
It's more than speculation.  State law says a company should take steps to avoid destruction of wetlands. But the Legislature in recent years has eased limits on developing land containing them. There is speculation lawmakers will ease those standards further for Foxconn during a special session planned to provide a financial incentive package for the company..

Easy to say for someone who owns an 11,000-square-foot, $64 million penthouse

Quoted in Trump says upstate New Yorkers should move, leave homes behind.  (Albany Times Union, 7/27.2017)
Wisconsin beat out New York, which had been a finalist in Foxconn's selection process and had pitched a 400-acre location outside of Utica owned by SUNY Polytechnic Institute called the Marcy Nanocenter.

It's 801 miles from Utica to Racine.  Trump took Forbes on a tour of the penthouse during the presidential election and told the publication that it was the "best apartment ever built" and bragged about its 33,000-square-foot size and estimated value of at least $200 million. The trouble is, according to Forbes, "those comments were typical Trump: boastful and inaccurate." The residence is actually 10,996 square feet and worth an estimated $64 million.

Greetings from Walsh Field, home of the Polar Bears, in Two Rivers, Wisconsin

From right-centerfield at Walsh Field.

The Polar Bears play in the Shoreland League

In foul territory sits a building with rest rooms and storage space. That's a Kiwanis shelter in fair territory, deep to right.  We were going to attend a game here last night but it was rained out.  I'd like to know what happens when the ball hits this structure.  And is it occupied during game time?  I can't imagine this being the case.  So why is it located here?  Questions, questions.

Howie Timm was married to my mother-in-law's cousin Ione, who should have been a stand-up comic.  She knew how to tell funny stories and was very skilled at delivering a killer punch line.
