It's been 29 days since Argentina reported its last bird flu outbreak

Roy Graber reports:
Since February, the presence of HPAI had been confirmed in four poultry flocks. However, WOAH reported that on April 27, 28 days had passed since the completion of the cleaning and disinfection of affected premises and no new instances of HPAI had been detected. WOAH also stated that Argentina submitted a self-declaration to announce poultry in the country was free of the disease. 
The four previously affected flocks included: 
  • A flock of 19,000 birds described as heavy breeding stock in Bolivar 
  • A flock of 35,925 birds described as heavy breeding stock in Ranchos 
  • A flock of 19,794 birds described as heavy breeding stock in Lobos 
  • A flock of 58,200 laying hens in Alejo Ledesma
