Roy Graber reports:
The Indiana State Board of Animal Health (BOAH) reported that another commercial poultry flock has tested positive for highly pathogenic avian influenza (HPAI).
The agency announced on January 22 that a commercial duck breeder flock had tested positive for the virus. The affected flock is in LaGrange County and included 5,240 birds.
Animal health officials have quarantined the premises, while a 10-kilometer control area and a 20-kilometer surveillance zone, both of which include portions of LaGrange, Noble and Elkhart counties, have been established.
