3 or 4 to a bed?   Might be a little crowded.  In all, authorities hope to have 30 beds open before St. Patrick’s Day.

The last time St. Patrick’s Day fell on a Friday, in 2006, Skuletich says 100 people were arrested and two police cruisers had their windows smashed with beer cans.

Not gonna happen.  For the Union Corners development on the East Side, attracting one has been an exercise in futility, leading to a delay in the construction of a multi-use building at the corner of East Washington Avenue and Milwaukee Street.

Gearing up for 2018.  Walker's spokesman Tom Evenson didn't address the jobs figures in his response.

Mr. King, 67, represents the most conservative corner of Iowa, and has long held policy positions rooted in deeply conservative beliefs, especially concerning immigration, which he once deemed a “slow-motion Holocaust.” 

He has often said he was made aware of illegal immigration as a small child by his father, the onetime mayor of a small Iowa town who taught him to take a hard line.
