The popularity of Jeanne as a baby name is graphed here.  Let's take a look at grandson Holden.

Holden debuted on the baby names chart 36 years after the publication of J. D. Salionger's Catcher in the Rye.

Meet Scott Walker, unregenerate racist

Here he is in one of his most revealing sycophantic poses.  (Recognize the other racist?)

Here's what Li'l Scooter tweeted today.

Recommended reading for the governor who inflicted so much damage on The Wisconsin Idea.

Let's tell it like it is:  "racially conservative" = racist.

SSM Health details proposed $75 million, 5-story clinic on Fish Hatchery Road.  (Wisconsin State Journal, 12/18/2019)
After changing sites, SSM Health is unveiling revised plans for a $75 million first phase of a multi-decade redevelopment that will eventually be the biggest project ever on Madison’s South Side.
The new plans call for a five-story, 180,000-square-foot clinic to replace its three-story, nearly 60-year-old facility of about the same size at 1313 Fish Hatchery Road. The new clinic would be just north of the existing one.

Reading and marking the G. & C. Merriam way

Approximately the way I remember it being done when I worked there in the 1970s.  (The heading and source would be typed, of course.)
