Roy Graber reports:
The United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service (APHIS) reported that on November 4, the presence of the virus was confirmed in a flock of 74,400 commercial meat turkeys in Ottawa County, Michigan.
This flock infection follows another instance when HPAI was confirmed in a flock of 62,200 commercial turkeys in the same county on October 31.
HPAI has now been found in five commercial poultry flocks in Michigan in 2025. All five of those flocks have involved turkeys and all have been in Ottawa County.
