Victims in crashes this year ranged from as young as 6 to as old as 97 years of age. Five victims in fatal crashes this year were 18 years old or younger. More than 65,000 miles of public roads are open to ATVs and UTVs, as well as more than 2,100 miles of trails.
About 69 percent of crashes occurred on public highways and road routes last year, according to the DNR.
