Indiana boosts its year-to-date tally of bird flu cases to 29

Roy Graber reports:

Two were meat duck flocks, including a flock of 7,800 ducks in Elkhart County and a flock of 8,600 ducks in LaGrange County. The other was a commercial duck breeder operation in Adams County, with 3,000 birds involved. With the addition of these cases, 

Indiana has had 29 commercial poultry flock infections in 2026. 

Outside of Indiana, the last time HPAI was confirmed in a U.S. commercial poultry flock was March 17, with a commercial table egg layer flock in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania, affected.
