Asian countries continue to report outbreaks of bird flu

WATT Poultry, 20/20265

Jackie Linden reports:
Over the past month, outbreaks of highly pathogenic avian influenza (HPAI) involving domestic poultry flocks have been logged by several countries across Asia.
Detected in all these flocks has been the H5N1 virus serotype, based on official notifications from the national animal health agencies to the World Organisation for Animal Health (WOAH). With the changing seasons and wild bird migration patterns, the number of recent outbreaks has declined sharply over recent weeks.
