100 Years of Frank Sinatra: June 20, 1948, the Birth of Christina ('Tina')

The photo, of course, is not Mrs. Sinatra holding her newborn daughter Tina.  It's my Auntie Gen holding her niece and Tina's 'body double' Linda Guagliardo, who was also born around this time.

Linda's and my maternal grandmother was named Christine and was never, as far as I knew, addressed informally, i.e., Chris, Chrissy, Tina.

Unfortunately, I don't know the story behind this undated photo.   (My mother added the white ink designation.)

Fossil Fuel Subsidies: Overview.  (Oil Change International)
In the United States, credible estimates of annual fossil fuel subsidies range from $10 billion to $52 billion annually yet these don’t even include costs borne by taxpayers related to the climate, local environmental, and health impacts of the fossil fuel industry. As of July 2014, Oil Change International estimates U.S. fossil fuel subsidies at $37.5 billion annually, including $21 billion in production and exploration subsidies.

Scott Walker:  Bought and Paid For
Hijacking Campaign 2014.   National Rifle Association of America. (Wisconsin Democracy Campaign)
This corporation was created in 2012 by the National Rifle Association, the nation's largest pro-gun advocacy and lobbying group, in order to make independent expenditures to support Republican Governor Scott Walker in his recall election. Together with the group's political action committee - the NRA Political Victory Fund - the NRA has spent about $1.9 million on outside electioneering activities like negative broadcast ads to support mostly Republican candidates for statewide office and the legislature between 2000 and 2013.
