Despite the censorship efforts of the Watertown Unified School Board, the show will go on

Omar Thomas, whose "A Mother of a Revolution" was cut from Monday’s program over objections by the school board to its ties to the 1969 Stonewall riots, will instead lead a performance of the piece at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday at Immanuel Evangelical Lutheran Church, 209 N. Ninth St. in Watertown. The event will also be livestreamed.

The church noted that no school district property, resources or music department staff will be used as part of the performance.
