Dr. Bill is chair of the Senate Health, Education, Labor, and Pensions (HELP). He voted to confirm RFKjr as secretary of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services. He values his personal political survival over public health. 

 

On February 21, 2021, Cassidy voted to convict Trump on a single article of impeachment, and he's been groveling for an endorsement at the altar of Trump every since.

Kennedy Jr. and his Make America Healthy Again followers, who describe a book Means wrote promoting healthy eating and exercise as the “MAHA bible.” But Trump’s gambit to pin the blame for Means’ demise on Cassidy aims to both keep the MAHA movement in the GOP fold for the midterms and help exorcise from Congress an opponent he and Kennedy share.  [emphasis added]
