Far-right members of Ottawa Impact gets smacked down by their level-headed colleagues on @miOttawa County Board

Headline:  mlive, 9/24/2025

John Tunison reports:
Ottawa County Commissioner Joe Moss wanted to include the phrase “champion color-blind equality in all facets of the role” to Patrick Waterman’s job description.
Waterman was chosen in a split vote earlier this month to fill the long-vacant permanent administrator’s post.
But other commissioners argued the language was a statement about values, not responsibilities, and should not be included in the contract.
And Josh Brugger, board vice-chair, said an anti-DEI clause isn’t necessary.
The four Impact Ottawa nutburgers who wanted the anti-DEI language in the job description were outvoted.
