Crossroads Church says that its head pastor, Brian Tome, has been placed on administrative leave amid an investigation into alleged misconduct.
In a statement obtained by WLWT that was sent to church congregants, the church's administrative board indicated that Tome is alleged to have performed an act of "inappropriate physical humor" during a video shoot over a decade ago that upset a member of the church who was present.
"Crossroads Church has recently become aware of a statement made by a member of our community regarding alleged inappropriate physical humor by Senior Pastor Brian Tome during a video shoot in late 2015," read the statement that was put out by the church on Friday. "Crossroads was previously made aware of these claims in 2024. At that time, the Crossroads Spiritual Board conducted an investigation independent of Pastor Tome and any other Crossroads staff members to determine validity and next steps."
