In November, Jimmie Whaley, Jr., was charged with two counts of felony breach of trust.
Whaley allegedly took tens of thousands of dollars from members of his congregation who thought they were just simply paying their tithes, according to investigators.
An arrest warrant states this went on for a year beginning in January 2023 while Whaley was the pastor at Midlands Body of Christ in Columbia.
