Ella McCarthy reports for the Democrat Gazette:
Two incumbents critical of Sanders' plan to build a 3,000-bed prison in Franklin County -- Sen. Ron Caldwell, R-Wynne, and Sen. Bryan King, R-Green Forest -- fended off challengers for whom Sanders campaigned.

Senate Republican leader Blake Johnson, R-Corning, who has served in the state Senate for more than a decade and was supported by Sanders, was ousted by state Rep. Jeremy Wooldridge, R-Marmaduke.
With 99% of the vote counted, the results are blowouts.
While Tuesday's primaries weren't a total bust for Sanders-backed candidates -- many candidates she supported easily won their respective races -- the three state Senate seats were arguably the most highly anticipated of the GOP state Senate primaries.
