MISCREANT PREACHERS: Child sexual assault in the Name of the Lord (#184 in a series)

Connor Lomis reports:

Sosa is suspected of committing a series of sexual assaults against children between 2002 and 2008 in Iredell County. 

According to an investigation spanning multiple states and countries, Sosa brought two minors — ages 13 and 17 at the time — from Argentina to the United States, telling them it was a “once-in-a-lifetime” mission trip. 

Detectives said Sosa was granted temporary guardianship of the children during their travels, led a ministry at the time, and sexually abused both victims. 

Authorities reported that he later fled to Florida, where he was arrested nearly two decades later; police plan to extradite him to North Carolina to face the charges.
