MISCREANT PREACHERS: Sexual assault in the Name of the Lord (#212 in a series)

Alejandro Mejia Mejia ports:

Danny Varnadore, who previously served as the pastor of Lighthouse Apostolic Faith Church in Harrisburg, stepped down from his position. He is scheduled to appear in Moultrie County court next week for a preliminary hearing on two counts of criminal sexual assault. 

Varnadore was arrested in November by Eldorado police on a warrant issued out of Moultrie County, Illinois, near Sullivan. His preliminary hearing is set for Monday. 

The church issued a statement addressing Varnadore's departure and the charges against him.

"Or do you not know that the unrighteous1 will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived: neither the sexually immoral, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor men who practice homosexuality nor thieves, nor the greedy, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor swindlers will inherit the kingdom of God."  (1 Corinthians 6:9–10)
