CLINTON COUNTY, Ohio (WKRC) - A Clinton County man is charged with rape and other charges as part of a sex offense investigation. Silas Shelton lives in Warren County and serves as a pastor at a Clinton County church, according to Wilmington Police. He is listed online as the pastor of Blanchester Community Ministries on Main St. Police aren't releasing any other information out of "respect for the privacy and the safety of the victim and family."

Deuteronomy 22:25 takes a harsh approach to this sin:   "But if a man find a betrothed damsel in the field, and the man force her, and lie with her: then the man only that lay with her shall die."
