MISCREANT PREACHERS: Inappropriate sexual behavior in the Name of the Lord (#314 in a series)

The Diocese of Baton Rouge removed Catholic Priest Father Charbel Jamhoury from ministry, revoked his safe environment credentials, and forbade him from further public ministry after allegations of inappropriate sexual behavior surfaced between the priest and an adult male. 

Bishop Michael Duca, through the Diocese of Baton Rouge’s Vicar General, Fr. Jamin David, declined to do an interview twice this week regarding this investigation and the removal of Father Charbel Jamhoury. Jamhoury did not return our calls for a response. The Diocese of Baton Rouge’s full statement is at the bottom of this article. 

On February 8, 2026, Bishop Michael Duca removed Father Charbel Jamhoury from St. Isidore the Farmer Catholic Church in Baker, four months after the complaint was initially filed with the Diocese.
