In the sheer grandeur and massive scenic effect, the most magnificent mountains scarcely exceed the High Plains. Two pictures are again presented, the second one taken from the top of the grain elevatotr that appears in the first (above), and giving the effect of a country as seen without interruption in the foreground. Both pictures look westward from the tiny town known as Page City.

Page City is 367 miles west of Kansas City. and 248 miles east of Denver. In the middle of nowhere. Its population was 370 when George R. Stewart passed through in the early 1950. It is 322 today.
