Near Belleville, some twenty miles west of Indianapolis, the old house and the newer barns of the Blue Ribbon Farm stand on a little rise to the south.
According to Wikipedia:
Belleville was laid out in 1829. The community experienced growth soon after by the building of the National Road through it, but declined in the 1850s when the new railroad missed it by more than a mile.
This is now. And about 20 miles west of Indianapolis. The house and outbuildings are nowhere to be seen.
