Vorpagel defeats Bulebosh in Assembly race.  (Milwaukee Journal Sentinel, 11/9/2016)
Bulebosh, 58, of Elkhart Lake, is a longtime Democratic Party volunteer and former Elkhart Lake-Glenbeulah School Board member who was making her first bid for state office.  (She also has significant library experience.)

Vorpagel did not have a primary opponent this year.  In the 2014 general election, he defeated Scott Heinig with 62.9% of the vote.

Thanks, Paul, for these roundups of the Assembly and Senate districts. This is useful, helpful information.

Scott Heinig, here in the 27th, is doing something fun. He's traveling around the district taking photos of himself or a campaign button in front of a landmark, and asking his FB followers to guess where he is. Along the way he makes observations about the area, talks to people, and shares what he learns from them ... giving all of us a new perspective about a place we thought we already know.

It's a gimmick, sure, but it's a clever one, especially for a newcomer. It shows a willingness and an ability to listen to and learn from others. This is, unfortunately, not a trait shared by all office-holders. I wish him luck!
