10th Senate District.  4-term Republican Sheila Harsdorf (River Falls) is not up for re-election this year.  Harsdorf also served 12 years in the Assembly (1989-2001)

11th Senate District.  (9/22/2014)

12th Senate District.  First-term Republican Tom Tiffany (Town  of Little Rice) is not up for re-election this year.  (Tiffany also served in the Assembly for 2 years -- 2011-2013.)

It's All a Matter of Perspective


As recruiting intensifies, UW-Platteville grows enrollment. (Milwaukee Journal Sentinel, 9/24/2014)

Looks like 0.13% of the student body attended this meeting.
Preliminary total enrollment at UW-Platteville this fall is 8,805 — 42% higher than 10 years ago, when the campus of 6,192 students launched its Tri-State Initiative.
And at least one attendee looks as though she's bored out her mind.

Hilldale is Undergoing Yet Another Makeover

Although from the intersection of University and Midvale, you wouldn't know it.  (The crane is a piece of equipment from a different construction project.)

As you can see from the sign, we can "expect the unexpected".


More than any other "neighborhood" shopping center in the Madison area, Hilldale has managed to keep pace with changing retail habits.   As noted on its redevelopment webpage....
Since opening in October of 1962, Hilldale has adapted to meet the needs of its shoppers. The center has continued to evolve and add shopping options that differentiate it in the Madison market.
