Ten years on the County Board have prepared me to work in a large legislative body. I have chaired the Public Safety Committee for four years, and I served on the Human Services Committee for 6 years, looking after the community’s access to basic needs. Our County Board worked as a team to keep the tax levy flat for 10 years and reduce the County tax rate by 50%, effectively lowering the county portion of your property tax bill.
I have also served on the Wisconsin Counties Utility Tax Association Board (WCUTA), which just aided in the passage of SB 556/AD 559 through the state legislature, working with Representative Jessie Rodriguez and Senator Jessie James. Governor Evers signed this bill into law on April 2.
