Middleton voters decide it's time for a change in the mayor's office

In 2023, Emily Kuhn received 55% of the vote.  A total of 8,939 votes were cast.

in 2025, Lisa Janario received 63.4% of the vote.  A total of 8,092 votes were cast.  Emily Kuhn received 1,990 fewer votes in 2026 than she did in 2023, a drop of 40%.  For Lisa, it was, in a word, a rout.

The total number of votes cast in 2026 mayoral election is down nearly 10% compared to 2023.   That's smaller than the 13% drop in  total number of votes cast in the 2026 Supreme Court race compared to 2023, when Janet Protasiewicz defeated Daniel Kelly to give the liberal justices a 4-3 majority on the Court.
