Chris Taylor comes close but no cigar to flipping Walworth County

 

How do you like them apples, Tyler August?

Trump won Polk County by 22 percentage points in 2024.  And in the 2022 Wisconsin gubernatorial race, losing Republican candidate Tim Michels won the county by 18 percentage points.

Last year, conservative candidate Brad Schimel beat liberal candidate Susan Crawford by 12 points.  Taylor very nearly closed that gap.  She received 230 fewer voters than Lazar out of a total of 26,413 cast.
