State Representative Kalan Haywood announced today that he is running for reelection to Wisconsin’s 16th Assembly District, pledging to continue his work to expand economic opportunity, protect affordable housing, and build a more just community for every family in the 16th Assembly District and around the state of Wisconsin.\
“The time to make change is now, and there is still so much work to do,” said Rep. Haywood. “I got into this work because I believed Milwaukee deserved a leader who would show up every day and fight for the people who are too often left behind. That is exactly what I have done and intend to keep doing.”
“Democrats are within reach of taking back the Assembly majority, and every race matters,” continued Rep. Haywood. “I am running to win another term fighting for my district, but I’m also going to do everything I can to elect Democrats in districts across Wisconsin so that together we can push forward our shared ideas.”

Wisconsin's 16th Assembly district is a GOP desert.
