Trump won Vilas County by 23 percentage points in 2024. And in the 2022 Wisconsin gubernatorial race, losing Republican candidate Tim Michels won the county by 21 percentage points.
Last year, conservative candidate Brad Schimel beat liberal candidate Susan Crawford by 19 points. This year Chris Taylor flipped Vilas County by 20 points, enough to eke out a win there.
The New York Times indicates that its tally represents 82% of the vote. However, the spring 2026 election results on the Vilas County website (see below) indicate that all precincts have reported, the Town of Lincoln being the laggard.
