Wisconsin 2024 elections: Three candidates running for open sat in 46th Assembly District

Melissa Ratcliff (D-Cottage Grove) has represented the 46th Assembly District since January 2023.  She previously served on the Dan County Board of Supervisors (2918-2023) and the Cottage Grove Village Board (2018-2022).  She is running for an open seat in the 16th Senate District.

Three candidates have announced their intentions to run:  Joan Fitzgerald (D-Fort Atkinson), Andrew McKinney (R-Cottage Grove), Jennifer Quimby (R-Waterloo).  The new district includes the communities of Cottage Grove, Deerfield, and Cambridge in Dane County and the western half of Jefferson County.

WisPolitics rates the district as 55.7% Democratic.
