Maps: Wikipedia, Dave's Redistricting (box added)
Wisconsin State Journal, 2/24/2024
Formerly a reliably Republican district surrounding Oshkosh, the 53rd Assembly District has moved north under Evers’ maps to include Neenah, Menasha and the southern reaches of Appleton. The district is within reach for both parties, but it now leans slightly Democratic. The projected vote in the district is 49.3% Democratic, 47.43% Republican and 3.27% other, according to the redistricting analysis. Rep. Michael Schraa, R-Oshkosh, is the current representative for the 53rd district. But under the new maps, he’s absorbed into the 55th district along with Rep. Nate Gustafson, R-Fox Crossing, both of whom intend to run in that district.
