Keeping tabs on Middleton's University Avenue corridor: NAPA Auto Parts at 6413 University Avenue

Construction of the NAPA Auto Parts store started in the spring of 2021 and was completed in the spring of 2022.

The site was previously occupied by Sonic, which opened to great fanfare in January 2009.  The bloom quickly faded..  It closed 7 years later.

During the first week or so of its grand opening, Middleton police were assigned to direct traffic on University Avenue.  It was that crazy.

Retiring Guy and his wife walked to Sonic one evening for dessert months after it opened and were underwhelmed with our choices.  Our one and only visit.

Prior to Sonic, Rusty's a popular townie bar, occupied the site.  (Note, at left, the cigar and pack of cigarettes.)
