100 Years of Frank Sinatra: "Fools Rush In"

This version of 'Fools Rush In" starts off with a 1:23 orchestra prelude before Frank Sinatra starts singing.  The 1940 song features lyrics by Johnny Mercer ("Laura", "I Wanna Be Around", "Moon River") and music by Rube Bloom ("Spring Fever", "Give Me the Simple Life").

Dad was in his first year at Augustana Seminary in Rock Island, Illinois, when Frank Sinatra first sang this song.  I don't recall him being much of a popular music fan.  Classical -- Baroque, in particular -- and church organ music were his two favorite genres.  I suspect that Sinatra's voice was rarely, if ever, heard on dad's radio.
