100 Years of Frank Sinatra: "Day by Day"

Frank Sinatra recorded "Day by Day" for Columbia Records in Hollywood in August 1945, with an arrangement by Axel Stordahl.   It ranks as #34 among the top 40 popular songs of 1946, according to Popular Song.

Music by Alex Stordahl and Paul Weston.   Lyrics by Sammy Cahn.

Among the many artists who have recorded "Day by Day":  Shirley Bassey, Vic Damone, Doris Day, Ella Fitzgerald, Eydie Gorme, Johnny Mathis, Carmen McRae, Chris Montez, Johnny Ray, Jo Stafford, Sarah Vaughn.

This photo of Mom and Dad was probably taken in the year that Sinatra recorded "Day by Day".

I imagine those shoes Mom is wearing were stylish in their day.
