The United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service (APHIS) reported that the presence of HPAI was confirmed in a commercial duck breeder flock in Elkhart County, Indiana.
The situation was confirmed on November 3, and there were 6,900 ducks in the flock.
So far in 2025, Indiana has had 27 commercial poultry flocks affected by HPAI, according to information from APHIS. Of those, five have been in Elkhart County.
