Will Wisconsin 7th CD voters choose to put another Doofus in the House?

Lawrence Andrea reports on a distinct lack of enthusiasm from a nameless GOP county chair in the district:

Alfonso on Oct. 29 said he and his wife have "deep roots" in northern Wisconsin, noting he was born in Vilas County. He attended high school in the Wausau area and said he "paid his way through college" at the University of Wisconsin-Madison "by working long, hard hours in the construction industry." 

His age could become a focal point. One GOP county chair in the district recently told the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel that while a 25-year-old candidate brings "energy and ambition," serving in Congress "requires more than enthusiasm — it demands life experience, judgement and a track record of making tough decisions." 

The Republican county chair said Alfonso could "be a contender if Trump endorses along with the remnants of the Duffy memories in the area."

According to Merriam-Webster, the first known use of  'doofus', as in 'a stupid, incompetent or foolish person', occurred in 1960.
