Demented Don's ravings aside, the majority of voters in Asheville and Buncombe County North Carolina are Democrats

In 2012, Republican Mitt Romney lost Buncombe County by 12.3 percentage points.  He received 54,107 votes.

In 2016, Republican Donald Trump lost Buncombe County by 14.3 percentage points.  He received 55,716 votes --  a modest, 3% increase over Romney's tally.  Democrat Hillary Clinton, received 4,827 more votes than Barack Obama did in 2012, a 7% increase.

In 2020, Republican Donald Trump lost Buncombe County by 21.1 percentage points, increasing the Democratic margin of victory by 72% compared to 2012.    He received 6,686 more votes than he did in 2016, a 12% increase.

In 2020, Democrat Joe Biden received 21,063 more votes than Hillary Clinton did in 2016, a 28% increase.


Demented Don continues to politicize Hurricane Helene
"We have a problem in North Carolina. We had a big hurricane and really hurt a lot of my voters," he told Conway. "And I hope—I hope that my voters, I mean, they lost their homes and they’re being treated horribly by Biden and Harris ... Very little relief. They’re going out of their way to hurt these people." 
"And I hope they just say, 'We’re going to get you and we’re going to— we’re going to not let—' You know they’re being treated very badly in the Republican areas in North Carolina. The government is treating ’em very— it’s a— it’s a Democrat," he said, stumbling over his words several times.
