Been there, done that: Just like in 2022, Trafalgar lead pollster Robert Cahaly trolls the media with GOP wet dream fantasy polls (Michigan edition)

Reality and fantasy sources: New York Times, Slate
Republican U.S. Senate candidate Mike Rogers received a boost in the hotly contested Michigan race—narrowing the gap in a battle where multiple polls had shown him trailing—according to a survey from a pollster deemed the "the most accurate" by RealClearPolitics.
A new poll from The Trafalgar Group, known for predicting former President Donald Trump's 2016 victory over Hillary Clinton, shows Rogers essentially tying up the race. But Trafalgar, led by conservative pollster Robert Cahaly, also predicted a "red wave" in the 2022 midterms, which never materialized.

The primary purpose of this poll was troll the media and generate headlines such as these.

It worked!  And to the news media's shame, it's working again.
