Meet 50-year-old Brenda Hayko
“He’s for the small communities that he’s going out and visiting with them, wants to know what they want and hear them.”
“I mean and he’s not afraid to go into areas where you only have your super strong base. He’s willing to listen and actually discuss policy, and that’s the important part. You have to be able to discuss policy, you can’t have a one-sided conversation … you have to listen.”
Meet 40-year-old Rachel Harris
Rachel Harris, 40, who arrived with Jeff Norton, said she wants to see Trump talk about deporting immigrants, who she said are taking advantage of welfare benefits. “Getting people out of here that are taking the money away from us,” Harris said.
Meet Timothy Smith of Middleton
“Trump is a businessman. He understands what it takes to operate a business, and the better our businesses do, the better our economy is, and the more money we have to spend on things that we love.”
Uh....Timothy....
Grover, retired farmer. (No last name given)
“We’re facing some real issues. Waunakee is a good example. Trying to buy farmland here if you’re a farmer — it’s all being bought up for houses. It should not be. President Trump is against solar panels and the Green New Deal.”
