USA box office on Labor Day 2024 is down 13% compared to last year when "Equalizer 3" was the top-grossing movie. This weekend "Deadpool and Wolverine" regained the top spot in its 6th week of release.
It's also down 30% compared to the 2021 peak when "Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings" ruled the weekend box office.

Labor Day isn’t a holiday that’s known for bringing people to the movies, but this weekend was among the most sluggish of the year. Summer season ended with domestic revenues down 14.3% from 2023 and 26.6% from 2019, the last pre-COVID year, according to Comscore.
