Wisconsin 2026 elections: Former Democratic Assembly rep Chris Danous challenges 5-term GOP incumbent Treig Pronschinske in 29th Assembly District

Prior to redistricting, the 29th Assembly District covered most of St. Croix County and a portion of western Dunn County.

A redrawn 29th is essentially a brand-new district.  It includes all of Buffalo and Pepin counties, most of Pierce County, and a chunk of Trempealeau County

Treig Pronschinske was elected to the Wisconsin Assembly by a 30-point margin in 2024 in a solidly red district.  Even with his name recognition in this area of the state, Democratic challenger Chris Danou has his work cut out for him.
