Wisconsin 2026 elections: Freshman Democrat Margaret Arney faces GOP challenger Joel Richmond in 18th Assembly District

 
The 18th Assembly District includes west and northwest neighborhoods of the City of Milwaukee as well as an eastern portion of the City of Wauwatosa.

Prior to 2024, when Margaret Arney was first elected to the Assembly, the seat was held by Democrat Evan Goyke for 6 terms.  He never had a GOP opponent.  Goyke now serves as the City of Attorney of Milwaukee.  The 18th is a district where Republicans need not apply, but Joel Richmond decided to give it a shot.
