The incident happened at approximately 11:23 p.m. on April 6, according to a Facebook post from the Hillsville Fire Department (HFD).
Upon arrival, HFD found that the semi hauling the turkeys had apparently sideswiped the other semi. The truck carrying the turkeys rolled over, releasing several turkeys onto the interstate.
Some of the turkeys were killed, but neither driver was injured.
